15th Annual Golf Outing Raised $40k
On September 9th over 200 golfers converged at Indianwood Country Club for Winning Futures’ 15th annual Golf for Kids Classic. It was a good day for golf; the weather kept golfers shaded with a slight overcast and just a quick sprinkle of rain. The event was enjoyed by all and we raised over $40,000 for youth programming. Congratulations to the winning teams. On the new course: 1st place – DTE Energy; 2nd place – Michigan Sting; 3rd place – PLS. On the old course: 1st place – Hamilton Chevrolet; 2nd place – UAW Local 160; 3rd place – Dynamic Advisory Solutions. Also congratulations to these golfers for their individual accomplishments. On the new course: Closest to the Pin – Bill O’Neil; Longest Drive (men) – Herb Dorow; Longest Drive (women) – Becky Norgrove. On the old course: Closest to the Pin – Chuck Schmidt; Longest Drive (men) – Marc Labadie; Longest Drive (women) – Gretchen Doyle. Our sincere appreciation to our sponsors, golfers and volunteers. We couldn’t have done it without you!
As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, Winning Futures continues to work with schools, companies and business professionals to empower students to succeed. Seeing all the happy faces at this year’s outing only reminds us of why we are all here; it truly was a great time for a great cause! We hope to see everyone again next year.
